Founded in 1992, IVS Computer Technology (IVS) has been serving School Districts for over 16 years, providing cutting-edge technological tools and assisting with successfully implementing these tools within classrooms.
Headquartered in Bakersfield, California, IVS has offices throughout the state serving the Western United States. Because we provide the installation, service and training for all of the products we provide, our staff is comprised of highly trained technicians, service professionals, and certified trainers. IVS Technology Professionals stay on top of the latest technology to ensure that all of the products we provide are the “best in breed”.
That being said, a School District can be self-assured that the products and tools that they purchase from IVS will not only be of high quality, backed by manufacturer warranties, but will be tools that can be easily integrated and utilized by teachers, and will improve the overall classroom experience.
The IVS Engineered Smart Classroom represents a fully tested integration of products in the classroom that have been proven to help increase students’ motivation and participation, improve their social skills, accommodate different learning styles, and increase students’ self-confidence. Our classroom solution is customizable and a school can choose to add components as needed. Some of the products we provide include: the SMART interactive whiteboard, audio/visual systems, projectors, wireless slates, document cameras, and student response systems.
As IVS continues to focus on being responsive to the needs of the schools, the services that we provide go way beyond the installation of classroom technology. Our certified trainers provide a variety of classes covering topics such as: basic product integration & usage, SMART Notebook training, interaction strategies, assessment, and more. To be certain that the curriculum we provide is effective; IVS has invested in a curriculum development department, lead by a credentialed educator with more than 15 years experience in the classroom. Under her guidance she has several credentialed teachers on staff whose main focus is product training development. To take this educational service even further, IVS heads up several user groups for teachers and holds SMART Saturdays and content creation seminars providing an environment for teacher collaboration.
